Why I don't listen to rumors anymore

No Michelle, I have not thought about a roomate. I have my younger sister too remember? Speaking of Mina, recently I was listening in on a converstion she was having with her friend. At some point or the other in her conversation, she mentioned the word Egypt and it got me thinking of a long story...

Near the end of first semester, my L.A. teacher, Mrs. Klara decided, without my permission, that she was going to recommend me to E.L.A. (enriched language arts). Now, Mrs. Klara is my favorite teacher in the whole world, but, at first, I was extremely opposed to this. This is because a) there is more homework and work in ELA, b) I loved my current L.A. class, and c) I was scared of the ELA techer, Ms. Wilkie. However, my mom loved the idea of advancing me, so, I went to ELA.

Now I know you're wondering how this relates to Egypt. Well, actually, before I moved to ELA, I told some kids in my class that I was moving. After saying it atleast a million times, I really got sick of telling people that I was moving into ELA. Finally, for the millionth-and-first time somebody asked me "Is it true you're moving to ELA?" I burst out sarcastically "No, I'm moving to Egypt!" and then rolled my eyes. I never really realized the full impact of my words until the next day atleast 10 people came up to me and asked me when I was moving to Egypt. No, I'm not making this up. Michelle, you are my witness.

Anyway, ELA turned out to be awesome and I sit at a table with Michelle and a couple more of our friends. Moral of the story: Don't tell people you are moving to Egypt when you really aren't. (Oh yeah, and don't listen to gossip.)

Now my really long blog post is over.

Showering

So I was in the shower tonight. Ya know, scrubbing it up.
Any who, I was finishing my shampoo cycle and was moving on to the conditioning section of the evening, when I spotted a wrapper. A Hershey wrapper. In my shower.
I kid you not.
This may have something to do with the sudden reappearance of my sister, who, up until noon, has been residing in the attic. She would sit up there, playing her piano and watching Twilight and be generally antisocial.
Then my mom moved her piano. To her bedroom. Which is right next to mine.
Which wasn't so bad, until she plugged the piano inter her guitar amp.
So Shreya, ever thought of having a roommate?

Our New Blog

So Michelle and I (being the awesome people we are) decided to write a blog. Why? I don't know. Pretty much on a whim and because we figured we have a lot to talk about. So, sitting in ELA today, while we were supposed to be quiet and working on limericks, instead we came up with a name for our blog. (Ms. Wilkie, if you ever read this, please don't kill us!) We were playing around with a few things and we decided on The Life and Times of Jo and Amy. Now this name might seem strange to you, but there's a reason why we chose it...

Last year, Michelle and I along with a couple other friends decided to join the school musical. In it, we were both in a scene from the movie "Little Women". Michelle was Jo and I was Amy. We thought this casting was hilarious because...

1. First of all, i am nothing like Amy. Amy is blond, pretty, self-centered, artistic, and only cares about her looks. I am none of those things. In fact, I'm terrible at drawing, have dark brown hair and eyes, a complete nerd, and, (I think), not self-centered.

2. However, Michelle was cast perfectly. She is so much like Jo.

3. Our costumes were full length dresses from the civil war era. I had to wear an apron.

4. We had to talk all proper. Something we NEVER do. (What happened to "Hey, what's up?")

So that's the back story behind the name. Anyway, check here for more posts about us and our life. Michelle and I will switch off writing, so you'll get to meet her too. Don't be shocked if she's more...strange than I am. (just kidding Michelle..... cough...no I'm not....)So stay tuned!
